Building with Steel Structural Insulated Panels (SSIPs) is a Breeze
+ In one hour we can build 430-450 square feet of steel stud structural framing including insulation with just 2 workers - that's apx 15 minutes per panel.
+ Panels weigh apx. 50 lbs and are 4x8, 4x10 or 4x12 so they are easy to carry and erect.
+ Wall panels are set into steel tracking that has been anchored to the foundation. Panels slide together tongue and groove, then are then bolted together. A top track plate is placed over the panels and again bolted together, resulting in a high-performance structural frame.
+ Only an electric screwdriver, a mallet and crowbar are necessary for assembly, as the panels erect tongue and groove and then are bolted together with steel reinforcement plates. For electrical, factory pre-cut chassis 16 inches off the ground are included in every panel. A commercial strength hot knife allows the electrician to cut through the EPS to run wire to junction boxes and outlets according to the electrical house plan. Same for plumbing.
