At CloudHauz we promote building with less wood and timber construction, instead, using other natural and organic materials such as steel, composite, glass and stone. The weaning off of wood will reduce deforestation which is a major cause of climate change, as our forests are the lungs of the planet and absorb much of our CO2 emissions. By using less wood, we lighten the load on our forests and allow them to flourish again.
The combination of architectural designs and appropriate construction materials make it possible to usher in a new era of dwellings to stand up the the climate chaos our planet currently faces.
At the heart of every CloudHauz is a patented SIP (the same materials that launched human-kind to the moon). It's the strong "bones" of our dwellings, combined with our innovative, yet practical designs that set us apart in the industry.
"The plumbing and electrical contractors loved working with the SIPs because of the molded-in electrical channels for easy installation of wire and pipe. The house finished beautifully inside and out, due to the flat straight walls"
"The building inspector loved the durability and elegance of the SIPs and commented that he expects to see more of it in the area soon because of all of the problems with wood builds. They reduced inspection time and the number of inspections."
